SPIRIT - Program Information for Parents

If you are a parent of a high school student, consider sending your daughter/son to the non-residential SPIRIT summer program offered at Purdue University on 8/22/14 or 8/25/14. The goal of the program is to show participants the exciting and wide-ranging opportunities that exist for them if they major in a computing program in college and pursue a career in Information Technology (IT).

SPIRIT Day is a one-day, non-residential program where participants engage in a variety of hands-on activities that are supported by information technology. For example, students will learn to use a software tool, called Alice, to create animated stories on a subject of their choosing. They'll also meet several computing students and/or career professionals who will share some of the unique and beneficial ways that they have used information technology to support their school/jobs.

For more information, you or your daughter/son should review the information under the Students menu group.
